I was grateful to be a guest on Leslie Amminson’s new CHMR radio show “Reflective Arts NL”! We talked about art, healing, and being vulnerable in the world. I shared my weird story of music and how Weary came to be. I also talked about my work with GirlsRockNL, St. John's Women In Music (SWIM), and my passion for healing, change and activism through music with my co-conspirator Joanna Barker.
thank you so much to CBC Newfoundland and Labrador and Krissy Holmes for having me on the morning show to chat about self-care and my upcoming workshop at Nova Yoga. if you didn't get a chance to catch it live this morning, you can listen to our chat here. it was great to share my own experiences with burnout, why boundaries are so important to respect and safety, and ultimately why self-care is radical, political and communal. I'm so passionate about advocating for dignity and respect for all, for healing, for political change, and self-love. if you want to carve out some space in your life to think about your needs, your feelings, your boundaries and yourself, come join me on december 2 at nova yoga for my TAKE CARE: Boundaries, Burnout + Self Love workshop!
